Q: Is it God's will for some people to die at a young age?

A: I'm sure if you have been to the funeral of a young child or young adult that you have probably heard these statements, "God needed another angel in heaven" or maybe this one, "He needed another flower in His garden". This one is used at most funerals young or old, "It was their time to go and when it's your time to go nothing can keep you from it." What about, "God needed them in heaven?" No! No! All lies.

The Word of God plainly tells us in Psalms 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Then again in Ephesians 6:2-3 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Also in Proverbs 3:1-2 My son forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

As you can see from these verses God wants us to live long, satisfied and peaceful lives, but there are conditions to this.

Children have to honor their parents. This commandment isn't just for small children. Your parents will always be your parents and you need to give honor and respect to them whether you are 2 years old or 40 years old.

The definition of honor is to esteem or regard highly.

Children have to honor (to esteem or regard highly) their parents. Children learn honor and respect from their parents. It's not the school system's place to teach your children to honor and respect other people. They will learn it by the example you set for them. Like a mirror your children will reflect your life and what they see you do. They will manifest the values you display. If children do not see their Dad and Mom giving honor and respect to other people they will not reflect honor and respect.

It's your choice. Do you want long life for you and your children's children?

God needs you more here on the earth, than he needs you in heaven.

Another condition would be that you don't take care of your physical body.

The Word of God says in I Corinthians 6:19 - 20 "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit which are God's."

If you're overweight, get no physical exercise, smoke or drink alcohol, just to name a few, these conditions are doing damage to your body which can shorten your life.

And again in Psalms 34: 21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. How you live determines how long you live.
