Q: Wasn't speaking in tongues done away with?

A: No. Religion has said this for years, but the Word of God states in:
John 14: 6-17 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Then in Acts 2:32-33 we see the fulfillment of this verse, "This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

That promise was fulfilled and I can find no verse in the Word of God that tells me He changed His mind and that He didn't send Him forever.
II Corinthians 13:1 .... In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

This lets me know there should be at least two places in the word to establish that tongues have been done away with. I am unable to find even one scripture in the Bible that tells me that tongues have been done away with.

But I do find, where God tells us, through Apostle Paul, in I Corinthians 12:27-28 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

These operations make up the structure of God's government and include everyone in the Body of Christ. If God set these operations in the church, then God would have had to unset them. God set these operations in the church not man, so it would be God that would remove the office not man or an organization.
